Beslutet om att göra slut med Aaron hade varit svårt på ett sätt. Han hade tagit illa upp, och faktiskt gråtit. Jag hade aldrig sett honom gråta i hela mitt liv, vilket gjorde att jag kände mig skyldig på något sätt. Han gillade mig fortfarande, det var en självklarhet. Men honom tänkte jag ta itu med senare... för tillfället var Niall viktigare än allt. Jag stod bara här nu och kollade in i dessa himmelskt blåa ögon och hade svårt att finna ord. "June", sa han andlöst. Jag tog ett djupt andetag och log blygt. "Hi Niall". Vi stod i ett par minuter och bara kollade på varandra. Han kliade sig i bakhuvudet och gjorde en gest för att jag skulle gå in i hans lägenhet. "Did Harry call you?" frågade han efter ett tag. Jag skakade undrande på huvudet. "No, why would he?" Han ryckte på axlarna. "Why are you here then?" frågade han istället. Jag samlade mitt blonda hår på vänster sida och tittade ner. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry", sa jag tyst. "Over what?" frågade han. "My reaction when you kissed me. I mean, I got a boyfriend, it was because of that". Borde jag berätta att det var över mellan mig och Aaron eller kunde det vänta? Han kanske inte ville ha något med mig att göra, vem vet. "It is okay. I didn't know about your boyfriend, it was my fault", sa han ursäktande. Jag höjde avvärjande på handen. "I'm sorry too", sa han sedan. Jag log försiktigt. Han besvarade leendet på samma försiktiga sätt. "Friends?" frågade han efter ett tag och ställde sig upp. Jag ställde mig också upp. Jag nickade. "Friends". Vi kramade varandra. Jag drog in hans lukt och kände tårarna rinna ner för mina kinder. "Have a nice time until I see you next time", sa jag. "The same to you". Han förde mig till dörren. Jag vinkade lite stelt och började gå ner för trappan. Halvvägs ner stannade jag och tittade upp mot hans dörr. Han stod där och kollade på mig. Han hade antagligen märkt tårarna nu, men han fokuserade på ögonen. Jag vände på huvudet igen, med hans blick brännande i min rygg. Goodbye Niall.

 

Harrys perspektiv

Jag hade precis lämnat Hannah vid hennes dörr. Utan att kyssa henne. För någon timme sedan skulle jag ha gjort det utan tvekan. Med det var någon som brännde i mitt bakhuvud. Hannah var riktigt snygg. Blont hår, bruna ögon. Hon hade ett underbart ansikte. Men det var något inom mig som skrek NEJ. Jag vandrade tillbaka i den tysta natten mot våra lägenheter. När jag var riktigt nära hörde jag snyftningar. Jag tittade upp från marken. "June, sweetheart? How are you babe?" undrade jag. Det gick inte att ta miste på att det var våran unga, söta, platinblonda stylist från X-Factor. June ställde sig upp och kollade på mig. Mascara rann ner från hennes ögon. Jag gillade inte att se henne på det här sättet. Hon hade ju varit den glada, pigga tjejen som alltid peppade oss innan våra framträdanden. Hon la sina armar runt min hals och snyftade mot mitt bröst. Jag höll om henne. "Harry", sa hon med skrovlig röst. "June, tell me now, what happened?" Hon försökte säga något, men hon bröt ihop igen. "It will be okay again, whatever it is", sa jag och klappade henne försiktigt över ryggen. Min skjorta kändes blöt. "No", tjöt hon. Jag tyckte så synd om henne, vad som än hade hänt. "I drive you home now babe okay? You can tell me everything tomorrow", sa jag. Hon nickade. "Thanks Harry", sa hon otydligt. Jag la armen om henne och förde henne till min bil. Hon satte sig i framsätet. Hela vägen hem till henne nynnande jag på lugna låtar. Hon tittade ut genom fönstret och tårar rann ner för hennes kinder. "I'll pick you up at 6pm, is it okay?" Hon nickade. Båda två steg ut ur bilen. Jag gav henne en kram. "Hope you will feel better soon", sa jag och kysste henne på kinden. Hon log klent. Jag drog tummen under hennes ögon för att dra bort mascaran. "See you tomorrow then", sa hon och tog ett djupt andetag. Jag nickade och vinkade. Jag hoppade in i bilen och betraktade henne när hon gick in i sitt hus. Jag ville veta att hon verkligen kom hem ordentligt när hon var i det där tillståndet. Jag körde hem och kastade mig i sängen så fort jag kom hem.
